WHO
WE
ARE
WHO
WE
ARE
IDEA Design Hub CIC is an international design and creative education studio where curiosity, creativity, and real-world learning come together. Our holistic approach blends design, architecture, art, design thinking, and experiential learning to support children in developing confidence, critical thinking, and strong educational foundations.
We believe learning should go beyond the classroom. Through hands-on projects, students explore ideas, solve problems, and express themselves while building essential life skills such as collaboration, empathy, and resilience.
What makes IDEA unique is our commitment to meaningful impact. Alongside community projects across London, our international initiatives, including school design and building projects in countries such as Nepal and Cambodia, allow students to engage with global challenges and perspectives.
By connecting creativity with purpose, we empower young people not only to grow as learners but to become thoughtful, engaged global citizens ready to shape a better future.

OUR STORY
IDEA Design Hub is a design-led education and social impact platform connecting schools, communities, universities, and corporate partners through creative learning and inclusive design.
IDEA Design Hub CIC (IDEA) was originally founded in Hong Kong in 2009 and expanded to London in 2021, continuing its mission to inspire learning and innovation through design. Our vision is to promote design thinking, creativity and empathy through art, architecture and experiential learning with children. The name IDEA reflects our belief in “Involve in Design, Empower with Action”, encouraging young people to learn through making, exploring and meaningful collaboration.
Since 2009, we have delivered a wide range of hands-on programmes across the UK, Hong Kong, Cambodia, India and Nepal, fostering imagination, problem-solving and teamwork. Our work includes after-school clubs; community design projects, including outdoor learning spaces, age-friendly design and sensory gardens for SEND; Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes, school building projects; public furniture design and build events; and creative training workshops. We collaborate with a global network of educational, cultural and community partners, and in 2015, IDEA was recognised by UN Volunteers for its impactful contribution to the Millennium Development Goals through volunteering.
OUR STORY

OUR MISSION
OUR MISSION
IDEA is building a vibrant, creative hub where art, design, education, and community come together to transform how children learn, explore, and have fun. We believe that creativity isn’t just an activity. It’s a powerful way of thinking, discovering, and connecting with the world.
Through our in-house classes and clubs, children are invited to learn by doing: experimenting, playing, and creating while gaining real insight into creative careers. Whether stepping into the role of an architect, designer, or visual artist, they experience what these paths truly feel like, sparking curiosity and ambition.

Our Career Explorer approach empowers students to take ownership of their ideas. By developing their own projects, they build confidence, responsibility, and pride in their work, seeing themselves not just as learners but as emerging professionals.
Beyond the studio, IDEA Global Impact extends this vision internationally. Building on our roots in Hong Kong, we collaborate with schools and communities around the world to support educational development where it’s needed most. Through a growing network of dedicated volunteers, we bring creativity, skills, and opportunity to children in underserved areas, helping them unlock their full potential.
